The volume of investments in construction of high-speed railway (HSR) Chelyabinsk — Yekaterinburg will be about 350 billion rubles, the positive opinion of the price of audit has been received, said in an interview with RIA Novosti, the Governor of the Chelyabinsk region Boris Dubrovsky.

«Today finalized the investment rationale and the positive conclusion of the technological and price audit. The project budget is about 350 billion rubles including Federal funding. The project has formed the architecture of the consortium partners: Siemens, the Russian direct investment Fund (RDIF), the St. Petersburg transport University (PGUPS), and others. Partners are awaiting the decision of the Federal government», — said the head of the region.

He said that a number of large enterprises: the Magnitogorsk metallurgical plant, Russian copper company, Chelyabinsk pipe rolling plant have already invested in the share capital of the partnership «the Ural highway». The interest of Industrialists in that the project involves the localization of up to 80% of the total needs of highways, the Governor said. According to him, Ural business is interested in upgrading its production facilities and supply of necessary products, «so we hope a positive decision to start construction».

According to the Governor, through this project, Chelyabinsk oblast forms the third largest agglomeration in Russia, connecting the two international airports. So, the travel time between the centers of Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg will be only 1 hour 10 minutes — this will create a new economic growth point on the map of Russia, said Dubrovsky.
