Unknown poured paint over the tomb of the philosopher and scientist Immanuel Kant, the Director of the Cathedral, the walls of which is the Pantheon, the President of charity Fund named after Michael Tariverdiev Vera Tariverdieva.

«Night, unknown persons doused the tomb of Immanuel Kant paint. And did the same with the Kant statue in front of the University of Kant. The city of Kaliningrad», — Tariverdiev wrote on his page on Facebook, publishing photos of the damaged monument.

It was previously reported that the vandals poured paint over a monument to Kant at the case of the Baltic Federal University named after this philosopher. Next to the monument scattered leaflets with an appeal «not to betray the Motherland». Police are verifying the incident, examined records from surveillance cameras.

Philosopher and scientist Immanuel Kant, founder of German classical philosophy, was born in 1724 in königsberg (now Kaliningrad), where he lived his entire life. During the Seven years ‘ war from 1758 to 1762, Koenigsberg was under the jurisdiction of the Russian government, becoming a centre of learning for the General-governorship of Eastern Prussia. The name of the philosopher included in the shortlist of applicants for assignment to the airport of Kaliningrad in the framework of the project «Great names of Russia».
