A third of Russians believe that life in Russia in the next five years will change for the better, however, 41% of citizens believe that the prerequisites for changes in society, according to the research of holding «ROMIR», which is available to RIA Novosti.

ROMIR conducted a nationwide survey in October 2018. It was attended by 1.5 thousand respondents aged over 18 from all types of settlements and Federal districts. The sample reflected the adult population of Russia.

«More than a third of Russians (35%) believes that the life of Russian society in the next five years will change for the better, and 7% of them stated this with absolute certainty. Supporters pessimistic views on order of magnitude — does not believe in positive changes, a quarter of respondents (24%). However, the majority of Russians — 41% — are hopes that in the coming years something will change in the life of the country,» the study says.

According to the holding, more often than the average for the sample, changes for the better believe young Russians: 40% of respondents aged 18 to 24 believe that life in Russia «is likely to change for the better». «But with the increase in age of the respondents, the fraction of optimistic forecasts. Among Russians over 60 years in the positive changes he believes only one in four (25%),» notes «ROMIR».

In addition, respondents were asked the question, how to change their personal life in the next five years. «Four out of ten respondents (43%) believe that their life will soon change for the better. The driver of a positive attitude again became youth — 72% of respondents 18-24 years waiting for the next five years positive changes in their lives», — stated in the study.

Almost as many respondents (42%), as in the question of changes in the Russian society, I see no prerequisites for changes in your personal life in the next five years. «Notorious pessimists themselves showed only 15% of Russians», — concludes «ROMIR».
