Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze has promised that the authorities will not allow the implementation of the revisionist and revolutionary scenarios from the opposition, which does not recognize the results of presidential elections.

The second round of elections of the President of Georgia was held on November 28. According to the CEC, after counting 100% of the ballots, an independent candidate Salome Zurabishvili, which supports the ruling party «Georgian dream», is gaining 59,52% of the vote, opposition leader Grigol Vashadze — 40,48%. Vashadze said that he did not recognize the election results and urged his supporters to go to the rally.

«Of course, everyone has the right to freedom of expression that is protected by the Constitution, but at the same time, if someone tries to organize the destabilization, all of these attempts will be given legitimate answers,» said Bakhtadze reporters.

According to him, all must respect the voice of the Georgian people.

«We will not permit revisionist and revolutionary scenarios. We will not allow a coup in the country», — said the Prime Minister.
