A former employee of the Bank in Karelia, is accused of assignment more than 1 million rubles of the savings of elderly residents of Republic, informs on Friday the regional Prosecutor’s office.

«The actions of the accused are qualified under article «Theft committed with the use of his official position in especially large size», — stated in the message.

According to investigators, the Manager of one of the Bank branches from November 2017 to March 2018 chose five customers aged 80 to 86 years with accounts significant savings. The woman printed out credit and cash orders, forged the signatures of pensioners, and received the money.

It is noted that the total amount of the caused damage amounted to more than 1 million rubles, and rated money the defendant used to pay off their loans.

Currently, the Bank fully indemnified damages to the victims. Criminal case is directed to the Petrozavodsk city court for consideration on the merits.
