Russia and China intend to develop theatrical tourism

Chinese and Russian theatre school intend to expand the educational, creative and tourist interaction. This became known during the video bridge Moscow – Beijing «International cooperation in contemporary performing arts», which took place on Friday, November 30, in MIA «Russia today».

Head of international relations Department of the Russian Institute of theatre art (GITIS) Natalia Plyusnina noted that the Russian theatrical community attaches great importance to friendship and cooperation with colleagues from China: partners of the University are Central Academy of drama (China) and Shanghai theater Academy. She also recalled that in 2017, the University has entered into the international Alliance of theatrical education (World Theatre Education Alliance).

Representatives of the theater community in China during a live broadcast said that the Beijing experience of theatrical tourism, but while it covers France only and does not apply to Russia. While the Chinese experts stressed that Russia has huge theatrical potential.

Recall that 2019 is announced in Russia the year of the theatre. In the framework of this event the oldest theatrical University in Russia, which is 140 years prepares a Directors, actors and other specialists, plans to participate in the international student theatre festival «Stanislavsky. The beginning», as well as in the international competition of young choreographers name Zakharov «Maria» and many other events.
