The head of «Gazprom» Alexey Miller and the Ambassador of Hungary in Russia Norbert Conca discussed the development of transportation infrastructure of this country and «Turkish stream», according to the company.

«Today in St. Petersburg took place the working meeting of the Chairman of the Board of PJSC «Gazprom» Alexey Miller and Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in the Russian Federation Norbert Concoa… the Parties discussed the issue of diversification of routes of Russian gas supplies to Europe. It was about the implementation of the project «Turkish stream and Nord stream-2″, as well as the development of the Hungarian gas transmission infrastructure», — stated in the message.

Last week, the newspaper «Kommersant» wrote that gas supplies in the framework of the project «Turkish stream» can go through Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary and Slovakia. Published in October-November materials the gas transport operators in these countries under a reservation of future capacity (open season) that «Gazprom» has chosen the route of gas supplies to Europe via the second line of the «Turkish flow» through them, noted the publication.

The project «Turkish stream» involves construction of a pipeline, consisting of two lines with capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters each. The first line is designed to supply gas to Turkish consumers, the other for the gas supply countries in southern and South-Eastern Europe. The pipeline is planned before the end of 2019.

The project «Northern stream-2» involves the construction of two pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas off the coast of Russia through the Baltic sea to Germany. The new pipeline is planned to be build next to the existing «Northern stream». Construction completion is scheduled for late 2019.
