The Prosecutor’s office organized a check of performance of requirements of the law regulating the rules of carriage of passengers in public transport, after an accident involving a bus and a truck in Yekaterinburg, which injured nine people, reports on Friday the Supervisory authority of the Sverdlovsk region.

As previously reported RIA Novosti head of the press service of the interior Ministry in the Sverdlovsk region Valery Gorelykh, the information about the accident came in a call center of around 12.00 (10.00 GMT). It is established that the bus collided with an empty truck standing on the roadside, the driver of which went for lunch. As a result of strong shock nine bus passengers were injured, including one child — a girl born in 2002, said Burnt. All nine victims were taken to hospital.

SUCK in the Sverdlovsk region reported that the investigation began a preliminary inquiry into the accident.

«The Prosecutor’s office finds out circumstances of the incident, will assess compliance for the carriage of passengers transport, with which the accident occurred. Special attention will be paid to the observance of labour standards and the getaway driver of a passenger bus. The results of the audit if there are grounds will be taken prosecutorial response», — stated in the message of Prosecutor’s office.

Management of traffic police in the Sverdlovsk region said on Friday that the incident occurred at the address: Alternate Siberian tract, opposite to the house №43 along the street Novgorodtseva. The collision injured nine bus passengers – four women 1997, 1957, 1983, 1955 year of birth, four men 1966, 1973, 1957, 2000 years of birth and 16-year-old girl. The drivers were not injured. Both vehicles received mechanical damages.
