Moscow ball Saturday the twelfth time, took place in Vienna’s Imperial Hofburg Palace, where at midnight they performed the quadrille, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

In the opening ceremony of the party under the leadership of Viennese choreographer Andrew Keith was attended by forty couples of debutants from ten countries. Also at the opening of the Viennese ball was made by Russian choir.

After the debutants performed the first waltz, they were joined by guests and began ballroom dance, accompanied by the symphonic orchestra Divertimento Viennese and military big band from Lower Austria.

Throughout the evening rolling into night, the classic polkas and waltzes were interspersed with tango, rumbas and cha-cha-cha, then they performed the Viennese quadrille, and at midnight the host of the ball, the President of the Russian dance Union Stanislav Popov held the famous Russian quadrille.

In concentric with the programme was also attended by the Champions of the world Latin show Oksana Vasilyeva and Arsen Aghamalyan, soloist of the Bolshoi theatre Lyubov Petrova, ballet stars Natalia Somova and George Smilevsky and Russian singer Andrei Ankudinov.

Moscow ball is not only a place of cultural exchange, where Russian culture can be found with the grace and elegance of Vienna, but also informal platform for the development and strengthening of Russian-Austrian business contacts, so the bulk of his guests were the representatives of business circles of Austria and Russia.

The celebration lasted from 21.00 to 3.00 Saturday and Sunday (from 23.00 till 5.00 GMT). Mirror — event of the Viennese ball in Moscow will take place on may 25 for the 17th time.
