Ukraine tried to involve Germany in a war, said the former head of the German foreign Minister, Sigmar Gabriel in an interview with broadcaster N-TV.

«I think that we in any case should not allow Ukraine to drag us into a war. Ukraine tried to do it,» the diplomat said commenting on the provocation of Kiev in the Kerch Strait.

While Gabrielle was also accused of defending its territorial waters to Russia in «violation of international law» and expressed hope that Chancellor Angela Merkel will be able to «push the parties back to normalcy».

The incident in the Black sea

Three ships of the Navy of Ukraine «Berdyansk», «Nikopol» and «Yana Kapu» — November 25, violated the state border of Russia who entered a temporarily closed area of Russian territorial waters and moved from the Black sea to Kerch Strait. They maneuvered in a dangerous manner, did not obey the lawful demands of the Russian authorities. In Moscow called the incident a provocation related to the low rating of the President of Ukraine ahead of the elections.

Thursday after the incident in the Black sea in Ukraine entered into force the law on the introduction of martial law in ten regions of the country, particularly Lugansk and Donetsk, and inland waters of the Azov-Kerch water area for 30 days. This mode provides the possibility of temporary restriction of constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens, including the right to participate in elections, to freedom of thought and speech.
