Interview of Minister of foreign Affairs of South Korea Kang Kyung-Hwa and Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme people’s Assembly Kim Yong Nam took place on Sunday in Mexico, according to a South Korean foreign Ministry.

According to the South Korean foreign Minister, Kang Kyong-Hwa and Kim Yong Nam were able to talk to each other during the inauguration of the President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

Kim Yong Nam, who is considered the formal head of state was head of the Mexico delegation of the DPRK at a time when South Korea is trying to expedite the holding of the second summit between Pyongyang and Washington for the successful continuation of inter-Korean dialogue.

At the inauguration of Mexican President Kang Kyong Hwa also talked with her daughter and adviser Ivanka trump, told in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. However, it’s not clear if they discussed the situation with the DPRK.

In June of this year, the President of the United States Donald trump met in Singapore with Chairman of the state Council of the DPRK Kim Jong-UN, the Supreme North Korean leader. They agreed on the full rejection of Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs in exchange for normalization of relations between the two countries and ending the state of war on the Korean Peninsula.

For its part North Korea as a first step destroy its nuclear test site, stating that all efforts directed at the development of the economy. However, it is hampered by US sanctions, which Washington is not yet eliminated, thereby making it difficult and development of cooperation between North Korea and South Korea. This leaves unclear the prospects of continuing dialogue at the highest level Pyongyang with Washington and Seoul.
