Holding «Helicopters of Russia» (included in rostec) during the demo-tour in South-East Asia received applications for 70 helicopters Mi-171A2 and «Ansat» from Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and China, told reporters in the press service of the holding.

The Mi-171A2 and the Ansat helicopter has completed a demonstration tour throughout South-East Asia. With the capabilities of both machines familiarized the participants of the international aerospace show Airshow China China Zhuhai, as well as potential customers from Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia. Full-scale demonstration of the latest civilian technology in these countries has allowed to reach concrete agreements and to generate an extensive portfolio of orders for the Mi-171A2 and «Ansat».

«Received during the month demo tour orders for delivery in the next three years to countries in the Asia-Pacific region more than 70 Russian helicopters worth over half a billion dollars is a clear evidence of the competitiveness and demand for Russian civil helicopters abroad, the logical result of comprehensive measures taken by the government to support Russian civil export to world markets», — said the Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov, whose words are resulted in a press-service of «Helicopters of Russia».

In turn, the General Director of holding Andrey Boginsky said that it is as «hard» and «soft» contracts. «For example, China signed a contract to supply 20 helicopters «Ansat» in the interests of the Association of disaster medicine of the PRC. The remaining 50 helicopters planned to supply to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia», he said.

According to him, in the next 10 years, the demand for civilian helicopters in South-East Asia can be up to 420 helicopters. «We expect significant share of this market, and the results of the demo-tour talking about the fact that we have a good reason for this,» — said Boginsky.

Ansat — light multipurpose twin-engine helicopter that can be used for the transport of goods and passengers, used for surveillance, search and rescue, fire fighting, and medevac missions. Its cabin is the largest in this class of helicopters, and the interior easily and quickly transformered under the right equipment. The Ansat has been certified for use in hot climates.

The mi-171A2 multipurpose helicopter of the middle class, which combines the unique experience of operation of helicopters Mi-8/17 and the latest developments of the holding. It can effectively and safely be used day and night, at high altitudes, at low and high temperatures, high humidity, and over water.
