The deputies of the Krasnodar territory and St. Petersburg signed an agreement on inter-parliamentary cooperation, which involves the exchange of experience in legislative activities, the preparation and discussion of projects of Federal laws, planned for introduction in the state Duma, and mutual support legislative initiatives at the Federal level, reports a press-service of Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar territory (ZSK).

The delegation of the legislative Assembly, led by speaker George Burlachko on Wednesday a working visit to Saint Petersburg. «The Central event was the signing of the agreement on Interparliamentary cooperation. The document was signed by Chairman of legislative Assembly of Krasnodar region Yuri Burlachko and Chairman of the legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Vyacheslav Makarov,» — said in the message.

The Ministry said that the agreement provides for cooperation between the two parliaments on many issues. «In particular, exchange experience in legislative activities, the preparation and discussion of projects of Federal laws, planned for introduction in the State Duma, mutual support legislative initiatives at the Federal level, expansion of business and friendly contacts,» —said in the legislative Assembly.

The head of the Cuban Parliament said that the two regions are United not only by common history, but also economic, trade, cultural ties and the signing of the agreement «an important step that will expand the horizons of cooperation between the representative bodies of the Northern capital of Kuban».

«We all know that Russia is strong by its regions. Each region is unique. We are all different but we have the same degree of responsibility to the voters. So, I think the agreement will only contribute to the realization of our possibilities. It is absolutely not formal. Each provision will be implemented in practice,» – are reported words of Burlachko.

Speaker ZS of St.-Petersburg has agreed with his colleague. «The meeting is not just a formality. Today Kuban for us is a strategic partner. We have common areas of cooperation, we intend to develop», – the press service quoted the words Makarova.

According to authorities, Kuban Parliament has signed 30 agreements with representative bodies of the Russian regions. The first was concluded in may 1997 with the Moscow city Duma. One of the last in October 2018 within the framework of the XXIX conference of the South-Russian parliamentary Association agreement signed between the legislative Assembly and the state Council of Crimea on the development of yacht tourism.
