Russian energy Minister Alexander Novak called good dwustronny meeting with Minister of energy of Saudi Arabia Khalid al-Valicom, held before the meeting of the Ministerial monitoring Committee of OPEC+.

«Alexander Novak met with the Minister of energy, industry and mineral resources Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Khaled al-Valicom on the eve of the meeting of the joint Ministerial monitoring Committee of OPEC and non-OPEC in Vienna», — said the Ministry of energy of the Russian Federation in its official microblog on Twitter.

«Yes, it was a good meeting», — said Novak journalists.

Earlier Wednesday, sources close to the negotiations told RIA Novosti that such a meeting is planned to discuss the possibility of reducing oil production in 2019. Informed sources told RIA Novosti that OPEC wants to persuade Russia to cut production by at least 300 thousand barrels per day. The cartel is willing to consider a gradual reduction of oil production by Russia.

In Vienna on 5 December will be the meeting of the Ministerial monitoring Committee of OPEC+, which should make for countries-participants of the transaction recommendation about whether and how much to cut oil production to balance the market.
