The hot line of Rospotrebnadzora on the issues of taxis and car-sharing has not received complaints of unreasonable overpricing for services, reported on the Agency’s website.

«The CPS was organized and carried out the work of the hotline to protect the rights of consumers when using services, taxis and car-share… Note that the hot line of Rospotrebnadzora has not received complaints of unreasonable overestimate of the price for transportation,» — said in the message. Calls were made from 5 to 19 November.

Only Rospotrebnadzor experts consulted more than 3.3 thousand Russians. Most often (43% of cases), they answered questions about the rules of rendering of transport services. Another 41% of the applicants received advice on the protection of the rights of consumers when using a taxi: complaints about the imposition of additional paid services, failure to provide receipt for services, change of payment depending on time of day.

Another 10% of complaints were dedicated to the taxi aggregators, namely the quality and safety of services, there were complaints about the dirty interior of the car, rude behavior of staff, asked about the procedure for the return of the forgotten things in the car.

A separate set of issues and complaints related to consumer protection in the use of car sharing (6% of cases). Consumers were interested in issues of poor provision of car, about providing the necessary documents confirming the conclusion of the agreement for car sharing, leaving the car in the airport Parking lot, if the client migrates to another region, order the payment of fines for traffic violations.

It is noted that by results of consideration of appeals are prepared 145 projects claims and 20 projects of lawsuits, a number of appeals already instituted administrative proceedings and started investigation. The CPS re-launch the hotline in three languages (Russian, English and Chinese) from 26 December to 15 January 2019.
