The Commission Kremenecko-Pochayiv state historic and architectural reserve on Wednesday conducted an audit of the Pochayiv Lavra in the Ternopil region, all the shrines were in place, the report said the information and education Department of the UOC.

Pochayiv Holy Dormition monastery — the biggest Orthodox temple complex and monastery in the Western Ukraine and the second in Ukraine after Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. «The fifth of December Kremenecko-Pochayiv state historic and architectural reserve checked for the presence of «exhibits», according to the register 60-ies, at the territory of the Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra. As a result of check all the shrines were in place,» — said in the message of Department of the UOC-MP. The audit was carried out in the assumption and Trinity cathedrals, monastic, Episcopal houses, the bell towers and the gate building.

The authorities in Kiev and non-canonical Church structure in Ukraine hope till the end of the year to receive the Tomos of autocephaly from Constantinople, but Tomos can get only the Primate of the «United» Church, it needs to select on the «unification Council» of the Orthodox churches in Ukraine, which is scheduled for 15 December in the capital of the country. This canonical UOC said that is not going to participate in this event.

Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities, including President Petro Poroshenko, has declared that do not intend to interfere in the Affairs of the Church, but do it all the time. So, despite promises, Poroshenko made from Constantinople the recognition of non-canonical Church in Ukraine, which the Russian Orthodox Church called schismatic.
